Important Notice

Please be advised, portal messages and phone calls seeking medical care may be billed to your insurance and require co-pay. In most cases, the highest amount you will be responsible for is $50 if you do not have insurance.

Most Medicare and Medicaid patients will have no out-of-pocket expense, and most private insurance companies will cover portal messages at little or no cost to the patient.

If a patient has a deductible, the full amount (average, around $75)—will be charged.

Charges are incurred when patients seek medical advice about changing medication, discuss new symptoms, report changes to a long-term condition, need checkups on a long-term condition, or need medical forms to be completed.

No charges are incurred for messages about scheduling appointments, requesting prescription refills, questions that lead to an appointment, questions about something related to an appointment within the past seven days, quick updates to a provider, or interactions with the electronic medical record, such as looking at lab results.
