Expulsion of the pregnancy is unpredictable as to:

• When the expulsion will occur.
• Where the expulsion will occur.
• How much bleeding will occur during the expulsion.
• How painful the expulsion will be.
• Whether the expulsion was "complete," or not.

Approximately 10% of patients still require a D&C.

Death rate is 10 times higher than surgical (10 per 100,000 versus 1 per 100,000).

Requires at least TWO visits.

Cost is higher (Pills are $100/each).
